Full details

UPMC Somerset's Anesthesiology Department is recruiting a full-time CRNA for its Somerset, Pennsylvania campus. The position is a call-taking role with rotating 24-, 10-, and 8-hour shifts, and the posting notes that the position is eligible for a sign-on bonus.

The site has five operating rooms and a cystoscopy suite. Cases span general surgery, podiatry, cataract procedures, gynecology, dental, and ENT, and the patient population includes a high volume of pediatric dental and ENT patients.

Anesthesia work is performed alongside the supervising or medically directing physician, following departmental standards, hospital policy, and regulatory requirements. Responsibilities include pre-anesthetic assessment, administering anesthesia, monitoring patients, post-anesthesia recovery, and peri-anesthesia clinical support. The CRNA also watches how patients respond to sedatives, analgesics, and anesthetic agents, raising concerns quickly, and coordinates with anesthesiologists, surgeons, OR staff, and the wider care team.

The CRNA would also take part in quality improvement, documentation, compliance work, and the training of new CRNAs, GRNAs, and SRNAs.

UPMC describes its compensation as competitive, covering base pay, merit increases, and premium pay. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life, and disability coverage, a retirement program, paid time off, wellness programs, and paid parental leave, along with opportunities for career growth and professional development.
