UPMC Community Osteopathic in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania is seeking a part-time Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist for its 177-bed acute care hospital, which has earned its fourth consecutive Magnet designation. The hospital hosts UPMC Hillman Cancer Center in the Medical Sciences Pavilion and is known regionally for orthopedic, bariatric, and urology care, along with emergency, women's, and cancer services.
The anesthetist would work largely independently across a broad surgical caseload that includes general, plastics, ENT, urology, robotic, spine, gynecologic, orthopedic, podiatric, and endoscopic procedures, and would perform regional techniques such as peripheral nerve blocks and spinals. Shifts of 8, 10, 12, or 24 hours are offered, with self-scheduling available. The practice uses EPIC EMR and Fabius GS.
Candidates should be graduates of an accredited CRNA program and be able to obtain a Pennsylvania license, along with valid federal and state narcotics certificates. The role suits comfortable generalists who are committed to compassionate, high-quality care, and both experienced providers and new graduates are encouraged to apply.
Compensation includes a competitive salary range, a funded employer retirement plan, and a competitive sign-on bonus, with overtime and extra-shift bonus opportunities and yearly merit increases. Other benefits include student loan forgiveness, a career ladder designed for CRNAs, PTO and paid holidays, a one-time PTO advance of 40, 80, or 120 hours at hire, and a $2000 annual CME allowance. Part-time staff receive half of the listed offerings. Additional benefits cover professional dues, Pennsylvania license renewal reimbursement, occurrence-based malpractice insurance, a 403(b) plan with employer match, a defined contribution plan, a UPMC-funded cash balance plan, adoption assistance, paid parental leave, and relocation assistance.
