LifeLinc Anesthesia is seeking a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist for a PRN position at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Yazoo in Yazoo City, Mississippi. The role is described as offering high-quality, cost-effective anesthesia care within an autonomous yet collaborative clinical setting, where the nurse anesthetist can practice at the top of their license. The listed pay is $2,000 per day, and the schedule runs 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., two to four days per month as needed, with no call required.

Baptist Yazoo is a 25-bed critical access hospital providing inpatient, outpatient and advanced diagnostic services to Yazoo County and nearby areas. Its specialty clinics cover cardiology, general surgery, cataract and eye surgery, pain management, gastrointestinal endoscopy, orthopedics and wound care, and it also runs family medical and primary care clinics, an outpatient rehabilitation center and a geriatric day program.

Day-to-day work centers on conscious sedation and MAC anesthesia for outpatient and inpatient cases. Duties include pre-anesthetic assessment, ordering pre-anesthetic medications and fluids, obtaining informed consent, airway management, managing emergence and recovery, discharging patients from the post-anesthesia area with follow-up for complications, and responding to emergencies with advanced or basic life support. The CRNA also leads quality initiatives and works with medical staff and administration to promote high-quality anesthetic care, and must follow strict HIPAA confidentiality practices and complete the annual HIPAA exam.

Benefits are offered only to employees working 30 or more hours per week, so this position is not benefit eligible. LifeLinc covers professional liability for the role.

Candidates must be graduates of an accredited nurse anesthesia program recognized by the AANA Council on Accreditation and must have passed the AANA Council on Certification examination. Required additional qualifications include at least two years of independent practice experience and current ACLS, BLS and PALS certification.
