Full details
The caseload spans endoscopy, general surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, orthopedics, pain management, urology, vascular procedures, and routine pediatric cases. Work is split roughly 70% outpatient and 30% inpatient, and the anesthetist practices within a team model alongside supervising MDAs.
Core responsibilities include giving anesthesia across a broad range of operations, completing pre-anesthetic evaluations and building plans, watching vital signs and adjusting care during cases, and working with surgeons and other clinicians. The role also covers safety and policy compliance, thorough charting in Epic with Dragon dictation, post-anesthesia recovery oversight, and participation in quality improvement and continuing education. Nerve block skills are welcome but not required.
Candidates must hold a Michigan license and ideally bring varied surgical experience. The setting is fast-paced and team-based, so strong communication, interpersonal skills, and willingness to adjust to shifting schedules and patient needs are important.
Benefits listed include competitive pay, reimbursement for travel expenses, malpractice coverage through an A-rated carrier, and continued support from a dedicated representative for future assignments.
