Full details

This part-time day-shift position centers on delivering anesthesia care, including general anesthesia, procedural sedation, and regional techniques, under the direction of an anesthesiologist who is immediately available throughout each case. The clinician is expected to use independent judgment and deliver whole-person care while staying inside the boundaries of nurse anesthesia practice and adhering to hospital policies, clinical protocols, guidelines, and state and federal rules. Professional conduct, courteous service, and a commitment to patient safety are central, as is contributing to a collaborative, caring team that reflects a diverse community. Other tasks may be assigned as needed.

Candidates need graduation from an accredited nursing program and from an accredited nurse anesthesia program. Recent experience giving anesthesia as a CRNA or student nurse anesthetist within the past year is preferred. Strong English communication is required, with Spanish considered an asset. The role also calls for critical thinking, attention to detail, the ability to handle pressure, and the physical capacity to see, hear, and handle equipment as patient care requires.

Required credentials include a valid California Registered Nurse license, a valid California Nurse Anesthetist Certificate, and current NBCRNA certification. Applicants must also hold current American Heart Association BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
