Full details

Aurora Medical Center Summit in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin is looking for a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist to join a collaborative anesthesia team that cares for patients in Oconomowoc and the surrounding southeastern Wisconsin region. The position is benefits eligible and runs 40 hours per week on a five-day, eight-hour shift pattern, with no call, weekend or holiday duties. The provider would rotate between two ambulatory surgery center locations under an ACT practice model.

Responsibilities include completing pre-anesthesia assessments, building individualized anesthesia care plans, and delivering anesthesia across a range of surgical and procedural settings. The CRNA would track patient condition through the perioperative period, work alongside anesthesiologists, surgeons, nursing staff and procedural teams, complete post-anesthesia evaluations and help plan recovery, and keep clinical documentation timely and accurate.

Candidates need an active RN license, an APRN credential in the state of practice, and active NBCRNA certification as a CRNA, plus an active DEA registration before hire. ACLS, PALS and NRP are required as the clinical site or role dictates, obtained before or within six months of hire. A master's degree in nursing is required. No prior experience is needed, and both seasoned CRNAs and new graduates are invited to apply.

The employer lists a pay range of $99.75 to $159.60 and a competitive compensation band of $121 to $159 per hour, with base pay set by qualifications, skills, experience and training. A $100,000 sign-on bonus is offered. Guaranteed additional shifts carry premiums of $75 to $100 per hour above base. The package includes 30 days of paid time off that grows with years of service, 40 CME hours a year, and a $2,250 CME allowance.

Benefits described include medical, dental, vision, life and short- and long-term disability coverage, flexible spending accounts, family benefits such as adoption assistance and paid parental leave, a defined contribution retirement plan with employer match, and an educational assistance program. Eligibility for some programs depends on FTE or status, so candidates are advised to ask a recruiter about specifics during an interview.

The area sits between Milwaukee and Madison and offers lakes, outdoor recreation and good schools while staying within reach of southeastern Wisconsin's major metro areas. The employer is part of Advocate Health, a large nonprofit integrated health system headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina, that operates under the Aurora Health Care name in Wisconsin.
