Full details

The role leads anesthesia care across the Florida Panhandle as a regional CRNA director for Sound Anesthesia. Working under the Associate Chief Anesthetist Officer and alongside the Regional Medical Director, the director helps advance the strategic goals of the company's new and established programs, supports practice growth, guides new site launches, and builds Anesthesia Improvement Plans that improve care delivery, clinical performance, and teamwork at partner facilities.

Responsibilities include supervising the chief CRNAs so each program is put in place and steadily improved, presenting orientation to new team members, and developing site leaders and staff in the company's culture, protocols, and best practices. The director may also provide clinical anesthesia where extra staff is needed to meet contracted services, and steps into a hands-on leadership role at struggling contracts to stabilize them and strengthen the team. Work with hospital executives and company leaders on improvement plans, implementation planning, budgets, and scheduling within contracted service levels, along with reviewing overtime and compensation requests and coordinating with credentialing and revenue staff on enrollment and billing compliance.

Qualifications include a graduate degree in nurse anesthesia from an accredited program and current NBCRNA certification as a CRNA. The candidate must hold an active registered nursing license and an APRN license in the relevant state or states, and have at least three years in a chief CRNA or comparable senior clinical leadership role. The director must stay in active clinical practice and bring strong leadership, organizational, communication, planning, diagnostic, and crisis management skills, along with knowledge of organizational policies, computer systems, and the ability to build working relationships with medical and administrative staff.

Clinical work is expected to average about forty hours weekly, with administrative duties kept apart from patient care. The candidate must live in or move to Pensacola, Florida, and the position covers the company's programs throughout the Florida Panhandle.

Compensation combines a strong clinical salary with a leadership stipend. The company covers all travel, malpractice insurance including tail coverage, and license costs. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, a 401(k) with matching contributions, eight weeks of scheduled time off, and reimbursement for continuing medical education.
