This full-time opening for a Graduate Registered Nurse Anesthetist in West Los Angeles involves delivering general and regional anesthesia under the medical supervision of a physician anesthesiologist. The role covers surgical, obstetrical and other procedures that need anesthesia, for patients from newborns through older adults, following hospital and department standards of care.

Responsibilities include pre-operative patient evaluation through interview and examination, chart review, and choosing an anesthetic with the physician. The nurse anesthetist monitors patients during surgery, manages airways, maintains fluid balance and stability, responds to emergencies including cardiopulmonary resuscitation, and cares for patients on ventilators.

Staff are expected to check anesthesia equipment daily and between cases, prepare medications, and communicate with surgeons and anesthesiologists about patient concerns. Work is performed within an anesthesia team that includes MDAs, CRNAs and anesthesia technicians, and the role requires adherence to Kaiser Permanente policies, accreditation standards, Title 22 and other applicable laws. Other duties within the scope of licensure may be assigned.
