This Ochsner opening is for a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist who provides anesthesia during surgical, obstetrical and other pain-producing procedures, working under physician supervision. The role is part of a collaborative care team that includes residents, fellows, attending physicians and other staff involved in patient care.

Core responsibilities include documenting procedures and any incidents, evaluating patients before, during and after anesthesia, and maintaining patient safety while delivering anesthesia using accepted techniques.
