Full details

The schedule is 10.5-hour days, 07:00 to 17:30. Cleveland Clinic is seeking certified registered nurse anesthetists for its Multi-Specialty Anesthesiology Division at the Main Campus in Cleveland, Ohio. The setting is a collegial team where CRNAs and physician anesthesiologists work together, and the practice supports both experienced and newly graduated CRNAs. The caseload is broad and varied, and scheduling options are available. Weekend and holiday duty is infrequent, and in-house call runs a few times per year as part of regularly scheduled hours.

The role involves giving anesthesia to support diagnostic, therapeutic and surgical procedures. Responsibilities include completing and charting a pre-anesthetic assessment, building and carrying out the anesthetic plan with its monitoring and post-anesthesia follow-up, and managing induction, maintenance and emergence. The CRNA also identifies changes in the patient's physiologic response to surgery or anesthesia, acts on them, and alerts the responsible physician when needed, along with other assigned duties.

Candidates need graduation from an accredited CRNA program and a current RN license and CRNA licensure from the Ohio Board of Nursing. Current NBCRNA certification with continued professional certification is required, along with State Board of Nursing endorsement. BLS and ACLS from the American Heart Association are required, while PALS and NRP may be needed depending on the work area. The work calls for critical thinking, sound judgment and minimal supervision in a high-pressure setting, and it involves extended standing, walking, and patient handling.

Compensation includes a competitive base and supplemental pay, with sign-on bonuses for eligible new graduates and experienced providers and student loan repayment. Benefits cover paid time off, six paid holidays, medical, dental and vision coverage effective on day one, employer-paid life insurance, and retirement savings with Cleveland Clinic contributions of up to 5.5 percent. Additional perks include CEU support, professional reimbursement, malpractice coverage at no cost, relocation reimbursement, paid interview expenses, and eligibility for Public Service Loan Forgiveness. Short- and long-term disability and parental leave at full pay are offered to full-time caregivers.
