Full details
The schedule is 8-hour shifts. The role calls for a CRNA to deliver anesthesia coverage in an ambulatory surgery setting under a medical direction arrangement, caring for patients scheduled for procedures. Cases span general surgery, orthopedics, ophthalmology, podiatry, urology, ENT, pain procedures, and GI work. Regional anesthesia skill is a must, and the chart is kept in Cerner as well as on paper.
The provider may be asked to cover several ambulatory surgery centers within the surrounding area as needed. The assignment runs six months, and credentialing typically takes about 90 days.
Applicants need Board Certified CRNA status and an active Texas license without restrictions, plus hands-on regional anesthesia background. Recent clinical practice is also required, specifically two years of work done within the last five years.
Malpractice coverage is provided, pay is issued electronically each week, and a referral program pays $2,000 for each candidate referred.
