Full details
This locum tenens opening in Michigan centers on anesthesia care for orthopedic procedures and joint replacement at an orthopedic ambulatory surgery center. The schedule is daytime coverage Monday through Friday, with no call and no weekend work, and the site notes a weekly coverage need.
The CRNA will work within a team arrangement, with other CRNAs in the rooms and an anesthesiologist on site as needed. Responsibilities include general orthopedic cases and joint replacements, and the role calls for proficiency in regional anesthesia and nerve blocks across several block types, as well as spinal and epidural techniques. Charting is done on paper, as no electronic medical record is mentioned.
Applicants need an active Michigan license and current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association, as the site requires. Prior clinical practice is also expected, measured against a recent window of years, so candidates should confirm they meet that threshold.
Credentialing time varies depending on the site and how complete the provider's file is. Malpractice coverage is provided, pay is issued electronically each week, and a referral bonus program is available. Travel and lodging support may be offered for the assignment.
