This per diem position calls for a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist to provide anesthesia care for patients having surgical or obstetrical procedures in the operating room, as well as for patients receiving diagnostic or therapeutic procedures outside the OR. The nurse anesthetist works under the medical direction and billing collaboration of a faculty member in the Department of Anesthesia & Perioperative Care at UCSF Medical Center.

Candidates need at least one year of experience as a CRNA. They must hold graduation from an accredited nursing school and the legal authority to practice as a Registered Nurse as set by the California Board of Registered Nursing. Graduation from an anesthesia program accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs, along with certification from the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists, is also required. The role expects applicants to be able to orient to and work across all UCSF Medical Center locations.
