Full details
The University of Kansas Health System's Great Bend Campus is looking for a full-time Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist to join its team at the Great Bend Hospital. The role centers on delivering anesthesia and pain care across all acuity levels and age groups, in settings that include surgical, obstetrical, diagnostic, therapeutic, and pain management procedures. The position is open to both newly trained and experienced CRNAs.
The caseload spans several surgical specialties, including orthopedics, general surgery, and obstetrics and gynecology, and CRNAs perform a full range of procedures. Additional pay is offered for call beyond the standard schedule. Shadowing opportunities are available for those considering the role.
Candidates must have completed a nurse anesthesia program, hold certification, and be eligible for licensure in Kansas. New graduates receive mentorship and a new graduate stipend tied to an early commitment, while experienced CRNAs may be eligible for a signing bonus.
Benefits include an employer-funded retirement plan, paid malpractice insurance, generous health coverage with dental and vision, paid vacation and continuing education time, and an annual continuing education unit allowance. A relocation stipend is provided for those moving more than 50 miles to Great Bend. The team works in Epic.
The hospital is a 33-bed, not-for-profit facility offering short-term acute care, orthopedic, obstetric, and surgical units, radiology, and an emergency department with Level IV trauma services. Great Bend is a community of nearly 15,000 people in Barton County, with parks, trails, and local events, and it sits near Cheyenne Bottoms, a large inland marsh.
