Full details
Bay Area Hospital in Coos Bay, Oregon, is seeking a CRNA for a locum-to-permanent role within its Anesthesia Services Department. The hospital is the largest on Oregon's southern coast, serving a catchment area of more than 320,000 people, and operates a Level III trauma center with high acuity cases. The group is hospital employed, well established, and is adding one more CRNA.
The CRNA would practice independently according to personal expertise, Oregon statutes and regulations, and the health district's policies, providing anesthesia and related care under the Medical Staff bylaws. The team includes physicians and CRNAs who practice collaboratively. Work spans seven operating rooms along with endoscopy, a cath lab, and a nearby ambulatory surgery center. Cases range broadly, excluding head and heart procedures, and include pediatric patients who are healthy, along with all types of nerve blocks.
Providers may choose part-time or full-time hours, with the exact shift assigned and discussed at interview. Call is paid and shared equitably, followed by a post-call day off, and weekends are shared among the group.
Compensation includes a total package of up to ####,000 for an experienced full-time provider, with part-time pay and a sign-on bonus to be discussed at interview, plus relocation help where applicable. Benefits include medical plan options, prescription, dental, and vision coverage, flexible spending accounts, life and disability insurance, several retirement savings plans, tuition reimbursement up to ####,000, and a scholarship program for family members. Paid time off reaches 25 days a year with a cash-out option, and extended sick leave and bereavement or jury-duty leave are provided.
Additional perks include an employee assistance program, on-site childcare at a partner learning center, voluntary supplemental insurance, 24/7 telehealth, an on-site wellness clinic, a fitness center, and a wellness incentive program.
Candidates must be board certified as nurse anesthetists and hold or be willing to obtain an Oregon license. They need at least one year of experience working as a CRNA and must have ties to Oregon, such as family in the area or past residence in the state. New graduates and locum candidates are not being considered.
