Full details
Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System in Spartanburg, SC is hiring full-time Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists to join its collegial anesthesia team. Candidates must be graduates of an accredited nurse anesthesia program.
The position is advertised as having no call, nights, or weekends, with a dedicated call team handling overnight and weekend coverage. Schedule options vary, and the role comes with eight weeks of time off. New hires complete a four- to six-week mentorship and orientation period.
The system serves as a teaching site for four nurse anesthesia programs, so CRNAs may have chances to teach or mentor student registered nurse anesthetists. Recruitment incentives listed include up to $50,000 in student loan forgiveness, a $50,000 sign-on bonus, and paid relocation assistance.
The anesthesia care team includes about 34 anesthesiologists and 100 CAAs and CRNAs covering the operating rooms, endoscopy, the cath lab, labor and delivery, MRI, and interventional radiology, with anesthesia technician support. The case mix is diverse across four facilities, from a Level 1 trauma center with a 25-room state-of-the-art OR to a five-OR community hospital. Transplant and burn cases are not performed, though some healthy pediatric and limited NICU cases are. The Church Street campus, a Level 1 trauma center, handles more than 19,000 cases a year. The system uses the Epic EMR.
Benefits described include health insurance starting on the date of hire, paid malpractice coverage including tail coverage, paid parental leave, and $3,500 per year in CME funds. The institution is listed as approved for PSLF.
The posting describes the Upstate area as lying about an hour from the Blue Ridge Mountains and three hours from the ocean, with moderately priced housing, educational options, and outdoor recreation nearby.
