Full details

Henry Ford Medical Group is looking for a compassionate Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist to join its anesthesia care team at the Royal Oak Surgery Center on a part-time basis. The role covers intravenous, inhalation, and regional anesthesia for surgical procedures, obstetrical deliveries, and other medical or dental procedures, for patients of all ages and risk classes, including geriatric and pediatric patients. The CRNA also provides airway management as needed across the hospital.

Day-to-day duties include completing pre-anesthesia evaluations and building individualized anesthesia plans, delivering general, regional, or monitored anesthesia care alongside surgeons and other providers, watching patients through procedures and handling any anesthesia-related complications, and providing recovery care and pain management afterward. The CRNA is also responsible for keeping records that meet hospital policy and regulatory standards.

Work-life terms are favorable: the position involves no on-call duty and no overnight shifts, weekend work is kept to a minimum, and the role is set up so the workday ends early in the evening. Cases span a broad range, including joint replacements, plastics, sports medicine, orthopedics, urology, gynecology, ophthalmology, podiatry, dental, pediatrics, endoscopy, and general surgery. The ambulatory division includes more than 40 CRNAs and 10 senior staff physicians.

Candidates need a current RN license and NBCRNA certification, along with a master's or doctoral degree from an accredited nurse anesthesia program. Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills are expected, as is the ability to collaborate well with anesthesiologists and other clinicians. The position also requires a Michigan RN license, state specialty certification, clinical privileges, and current ALS, BLS, and PALS certifications.

A sign-on bonus of $20k is available to eligible candidates. Benefits include a competitive salary, family-forming support such as paid parental leave, adoption and donor assistance, and fertility coverage, plus a 403(b) plan with a 3.5% salary match. Medical, dental, and vision coverage is offered, with HSA, FSA, and DCFSA options for tax savings.
