The CRNA would give intravenous, inhalation, and regional anesthetics to keep patients free of pain during surgery, obstetric deliveries, and other medical or dental procedures. Patients of every age and ASA class, including geriatric and pediatric patients, may be served, and airway management is provided across the hospital as needed. Surgical work at the center spans total hips and knees, plastics, sports medicine, orthopedics, urology, gynecology, ophthalmology, podiatry, dental, pediatric, endoscopic, and general cases. The ambulatory division includes more than 40 CRNAs and 10 senior staff physicians.

Responsibilities include performing pre-anesthesia assessments and building individualized anesthesia care plans, delivering general, regional, or monitored anesthesia care alongside surgeons and other providers, watching patients through procedures and handling any anesthesia-related complications, providing post-anesthesia care and pain control, and keeping records that meet hospital policy and regulatory standards.
Candidates need a current RN license and NBCRNA certification, a master's or doctoral degree from an accredited nurse anesthesia program, and graduation from an accredited school of anesthesia. Strong clinical judgment, communication, and the ability to work well with anesthesiologists and other providers are expected. Required credentials to hold and keep current include clinical privileges, a Michigan RN license, a state specialty certification, CRNA certification, and ALS, BLS, and PALS certifications.
Benefits include a competitive salary, family-building support such as paid parental leave, adoption and donor assistance, and fertility care coverage, a 403(b) retirement plan with a 3.5% salary match, and medical, dental, and vision coverage with HSA, FSA, and DCFSA tax-savings options.
