Full details

The University of Maryland St. Joseph Medical Center, a member of the University of Maryland Medical System, is recruiting per-diem Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists for its Towson, Maryland campus. The 218-bed suburban hospital sits on a 37-acre site and highlights a team atmosphere, flexibility, and recognition from Leapfrog, U.S. News & World Report, and Baltimore magazine.

Anesthesia cases cover orthopedics, spine, vascular, hepatobiliary, general surgery, GI, gynecology, plastics, breast, urology, podiatry, obstetrics, and thoracic procedures, along with routine pediatric orthopedic and ENT work. The general anesthesia team does not take on transplant, trauma, cardiac, or cranial surgery. The role places the CRNA alongside a collaborative group of anesthesiologists and surgeons.

Compensation is listed at $180.00 per hour, with a market-leading pay structure and a retention bonus arrangement. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision coverage, paid malpractice insurance, generous paid time off, a continuing education allowance, a 401K retirement plan, and life and disability insurance. Details are provided in the system's 2026-2027 benefits guide.

Candidates need graduation from an accredited nursing program and a Master's degree from an accredited nurse anesthesia program. A current Maryland State Board of Nurse Examiners license to practice nursing and nurse anesthesia is required.
