Full details

The Department of Anesthesiology at Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights, Illinois, is recruiting a full-time Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist to work within the Endeavor Health medical group. CRNAs here are part of a collaborative Anesthesia Care Team and carry out assignments under the chief of the department and the supervision of the designated attending anesthesiologist, whose direction determines how much of the service the CRNA provides. The posted hourly range is $122.60 to $162.41, with placement based on expertise and years of experience, among other factors. The role averages 40 hours weekly, with a weekday daytime schedule and possible off-shifts.

Patients range from neonates to geriatric adults, so the CRNA must assess and treat each age group appropriately. Case types span neurology, cardiac, general surgery, thoracic, urology, plastics, orthopedics, obstetrics and ophthalmology, along with off-site work in interventional radiology, the cath lab, GI and MRI. Cardiac cases include CABG, TAVR, ECMO and LVAD procedures, and the CRNA may take part in the heart team. Regional techniques such as spinals and peripheral nerve blocks are part of the practice, and CRNAs may also serve as clinical instructors for student nurse anesthetists. The posting describes the scope of practice as unlimited.

Candidates need an Advanced Practice Nurse license in Illinois, graduation from an approved nurse anesthesia program, and current certification or eligibility for certification as a CRNA, renewed every two years. BLS and ACLS are required and PALS is recommended. Both new graduates and experienced CRNAs are considered.

Benefits include career pathway and professional development programs, medical, dental and vision plans, health savings account options, a wellness program, a savings plan with company-matched retirement options, tuition reimbursement, free parking at designated sites, paid time off with holiday pay, community involvement opportunities and a continuing medical education allowance.
