Full details
Henry Ford Health is seeking a skilled, compassionate Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist for its anesthesia care team at Henry Ford Providence in Novi, Michigan. This full-time role carries a $40k sign-on bonus and is open to candidates for either 1.0 or 0.9 FTE.
The CRNA would give intravenous, inhalation and regional anesthesia so patients stay free of pain during surgery, obstetric deliveries, and other medical or dental procedures. Patients of every age and across the A.S.A. classes may be served, including older adults and children, and the nurse anesthetist also provides airway management wherever the hospital needs it.
Case work spans a broad set of specialties, among them heart and chest surgery, general surgery, urology, vascular, brain surgery, bone and joint, gynecology with gynecologic oncology and urogynecology, ENT, plastic surgery, pediatric surgery, and interventional radiology. Some anesthetics are delivered outside the operating rooms, in the cardiac catheterization lab, endoscopy, interventional radiology, MRI, and the obstetric unit.
Scheduling is flexible: shifts can be chosen from several lengths and the provider manages much of their own calendar through self-scheduling. Call and weekend obligations are kept to a minimum.
Daily duties include pre-anesthesia evaluations, building individualized anesthesia plans, delivering general, regional, or monitored anesthesia care alongside surgeons and other clinicians, watching patients through procedures and handling any complications, providing recovery and pain care afterward, and keeping documentation that meets hospital and regulatory standards.
Candidates need a current RN license and NBCRNA CRNA certification, a master's or doctoral degree from an accredited nurse anesthesia program, and strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills. Required credentials also include a Michigan RN license, state specialty certification, ALS, BLS, PALS, and clinical privileges.
Benefits include a competitive salary, family-forming support such as paid parental leave, adoption and donor assistance, and fertility coverage, plus short-term disability paying 100% of salary. The employer also offers a 403(b) plan with a 3.5% salary match and medical, dental, and vision coverage with HSA, FSA, and DCFSA tax-savings options.
