This per diem position for a CRNA is based in Springfield, Illinois, at HSHS St. John's Hospital, which serves as the main facility of Hospital Sisters Health System and draws patients from central and southern Illinois. Founded in 1875, the hospital holds Level II Pediatric Trauma and Level I Trauma certifications, runs a college of nursing, and trains students as a teaching affiliate of the Southern Illinois University School of Medicine. Its surgical centers are regarded as some of the most advanced of their kind in the country.

The CRNA will deliver anesthesia care across a range of surgical cases, conduct pre-anesthesia assessments, secure informed consent, and build and review anesthetic plans with patients. Responsibilities also include managing induction, maintenance, and emergence, watching patients' physiological status and intervening when necessary, and contributing to department coordination and clinical leadership.

Pay is listed as $200 per hour for W2 staff and $210 per hour for 1099 contractors.

Applicants need a current registered professional nursing license, completion of an accredited nurse anesthesia program, and current certification or recertification through the AANA Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists.
