Full details
The SWAT Program gives CRNAs in the New Jersey region the chance to work at a range of North American Partners in Anesthesia sites, offering flexibility in where they practice alongside the stability of full-time W-2 employment. The role is a travel opportunity in which clinicians work collaboratively within a multispecialty team of physicians and CRNAs to support positive patient experiences and high-quality care across the communities served in New Jersey.
Pay is listed at $151.44 per hour. The benefits package covers medical, life, vision, and dental coverage along with disability and accidental death and dismemberment protection, generous paid time off, flexible spending and health savings accounts, fully paid malpractice coverage, and available help with loan repayment and training costs.
Travel-related support includes up to $50 per workday for meals and mileage or lodging reimbursement up to $139 per night, with the rate possibly adjusted by location and approval. Mileage from home to a site is reimbursed at IRS rates when the distance exceeds 30 miles one way. Corporate housing may be arranged for longer assignments, licensing and similar fees can be reimbursed, and rental cars are mid-size or standard. Receipts must be submitted within 60 days and must be full receipts rather than credit card slips; air travel requires pre-approval.
Scheduling may include up to two calls per month within the base salary, with hours over 40 per week paid at 1.5 times. Additional site-specific calls that the clinician agrees to are paid at $500 per call. Call length varies by site, ranging from 8 to 24 hours, and the clinician is expected to share call duties equally with others at the site. The case mix is diverse.
Responsibilities include pre-anesthesia assessment, obtaining or verifying patient consent, discussing anesthetic options and risks, managing induction, maintenance, and emergence, monitoring physiological status, and performing clinical interventions as needed. Candidates need a current registered professional nurse license, graduation from an accredited nurse anesthesia program, and certification or recertification by the AANA Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists.
