The role is a per diem CRNA position at Crouse Health Hospital in Syracuse, New York, offering a broad mix of surgical cases across the main hospital and three ambulatory surgery centers located within a short walk of one another. The practice describes a collegial anesthesia team, good working relationships with surgeons and OR staff, strong anesthesia technician support, and a dedicated pre-operative testing center. Care is delivered within a care-team model.

Responsibilities include delivering full anesthesia care across a wide range of procedures, completing pre-anesthesia evaluations and securing informed consent, developing and reviewing anesthetic plans with patients, managing induction, maintenance and emergence, and monitoring each patient's physiological status and intervening as necessary. The clinician also contributes to departmental coordination and clinical leadership. Assigned case types include general, GYN, bariatrics, robotics, orthopedics, spine, craniotomy, thoracic, vascular, urology and renal, ENT, eye, plastics, podiatry, endoscopy, EP and cath lab, and healthy pediatric cases, with shift differentials applied to the schedule.

Compensation is listed at $195 per hour for W2 per diem work or $210 per hour for 1099 work. Candidates need a current registered professional nurse license, graduation from an accredited nurse anesthesia program, and current certification or recertification through the AANA's certification council.
