Full details
The position is a part-time CRNA role at the Joan and Paul Rubschlager Ambulatory Building, an outpatient care center in Chicago's medical district that opened in February 2023. The ten-story facility also houses endoscopy and gastroenterology services and the Lung Center. The practice follows a medically directed care team model and describes its anesthesia group as cohesive.
Compensation is prorated to the part-time schedule, and a prorated sign-on incentive is offered. The benefits package covers medical, life, vision, and dental coverage along with disability and accidental death and dismemberment insurance, plus generous paid time off, flexible spending and health savings account options, and fully paid malpractice coverage. Loan repayment and training assistance are also available.
The schedule runs Monday through Friday with day shifts between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m. or 7 a.m. and 5 p.m., for a 30-hour workweek. There is no on-call duty, and weekends and holidays are not required. Cases include EGD, colonoscopy, ERCP, and EUS procedures.
Responsibilities include delivering full anesthesia care across surgical cases, completing pre-anesthesia assessments and securing informed consent, and building and reviewing anesthetic plans with patients. The CRNA manages induction, maintenance, and emergence, monitors physiological status, and intervenes as necessary, while also supporting departmental coordination and clinical leadership.
Candidates need a current registered professional nurse license, graduation from an accredited nurse anesthesia program, and current certification or recertification through the AANA Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists.
