Full details

Northwestern Memorial Hospital, which is affiliated with Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, is recruiting certified registered nurse anesthetists in downtown Chicago to support ongoing program growth across a broad range of high-acuity procedures. Applicants must have graduated from an accredited nurse anesthesia program and hold current CRNA certification or have certification pending.

The position covers high-acuity cases in obstetrics, liver transplant, and general multispecialty surgery. The practice follows a true care team model in which CRNAs train and work alongside anesthesiologists and residents, and the hospital's group includes more than 100 CRNAs in a collegial, family-like setting. Mentorship, leadership tracks, and roles in onboarding and education are available.

Scheduling is flexible: clinicians choose 8- or 12-hour shifts, adjust their monthly pattern to suit their needs, and self-select call shifts through a fair, point-based system linked to their FTE. A guaranteed bonus is included, and the posting cites potential total compensation of up to $300K annually.

Employment at this 501(c)(3) hospital makes the role eligible for federal Public Service Loan Forgiveness, and staff are eligible for full Northwestern University benefits.

The city offers a large-city lifestyle with diverse neighborhoods, dining, entertainment, lakefront recreation along Lake Michigan, good schools and universities, and access to O'Hare International Airport. Chicago has repeatedly ranked among the best places to live in the United States and Illinois.
