Full details

The setting is a highly autonomous practice in which CRNAs and physicians share call and each personally deliver anesthesia within a blended team.

St. Francis is a Catholic, not-for-profit facility run by an affiliate of Hospital Sisters Health System. Founded in 1875 to serve residents of its two-county area, it employs close to 240 people and offers surgery, cancer care, advanced diagnostic imaging, rehabilitation programs, and the only maternity services in the area.

The anesthetist would provide full-scope care across a varied surgical caseload, which includes many opportunities to apply regional techniques. Duties include completing pre-anesthesia assessments, securing informed consent, designing and reviewing anesthetic plans with patients, managing induction, maintenance and recovery, and watching vital signs and responding to changes. The role also contributes to departmental coordination and clinical leadership.

Candidates need a current registered nurse license, graduation from an accredited nurse anesthesia program, and current certification or recertification through the AANA Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists.

The compensation package lists a salary of $265K and a $75K sign-on incentive. Benefits include medical, life, vision, dental, disability and AD&D coverage, generous paid time off, flexible spending and health savings accounts, fully paid malpractice coverage, and available loan repayment and training assistance.
