This per diem CRNA position is based at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie, New York, a 350-bed hospital on the Hudson River that has served the Mid-Hudson Valley since 1887. The hospital's newer Patient Pavilion contains 294 private rooms, a 30-bed intensive care unit, a set of surgical suites, and emergency and trauma space with numerous exam and treatment rooms. As part of Nuvance Health, the center houses the region's first cardiothoracic surgery program between Westchester County and Albany, along with the only Level III neonatal intensive care unit in the area.

The anesthetist would provide full anesthesia care across a broad range of cases, including endoscopy, general surgery, obstetrics, radiology, orthopedics, electrophysiology, gynecology, vascular, neurology, urology, cardiac, thoracic, ENT, and plastic procedures. Responsibilities include performing pre-anesthesia assessments, securing informed consent, creating and reviewing anesthetic plans with patients, managing induction, maintenance and emergence, and monitoring patients and intervening as their condition requires. The role also supports departmental coordination and clinical leadership.

Pay is listed at 185 dollars per hour for W-2 employment, which includes fully paid malpractice insurance, or 195 dollars per hour for 1099 contractors, who must supply their own medical malpractice coverage. Candidates need a current registered professional nursing license, graduation from an accredited nurse anesthesia program, and certification or recertification through the AANA Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists.
