Full details

The schedule is 10-hour days, 07:00 to 17:30. A supplemental locum opening for Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists is available in Putnam, Connecticut, as a long-term temporary assignment. The package includes a competitive hourly rate, weekly stipends, overtime opportunities, and a one-time completion bonus of $15,000 once a set number of hours is worked within a defined window. Three positions are open, and no on-call duty is required.

Pay is listed at $185 to $190 per hour. Housing or lodging support is provided at $110 per day, and a car rental or mileage allowance of $250 per week is included. The $15,000 completion bonus is paid after 520 hours are worked within 17 consecutive weeks. The assignment runs from February 22, 2024 through June 30, 2026.

Anesthesia care is delivered across five sites, with a supervision ratio of 1 provider to 2.5 cases. The caseload spans general and colorectal surgery, OB/GYN, urology, ENT, orthopedics, spine fusions, eye procedures, pacemaker work, cardioversions, and TEE and GI studies. Trauma, neurosurgery, and open-heart cases are excluded. Pediatric patients must be at least one year old and are mostly ENT procedures such as tonsillectomy and adenoidectomy or myringotomy with tube placement.

Shifts may run past the scheduled end time if cases remain, and providers are expected to stay for the full shift apart from an unpaid meal break. Charting is done on paper. Candidates need an active RN license, a degree from a COA-accredited nurse anesthesia program, and board certification or eligibility as a CRNA. Eligibility for Connecticut licensure is also required. Strong clinical skills across several service lines and the ability to work independently under supervision are valued.
