Full details
Marshfield Medical Center's Park Falls and Minocqua locations are seeking a full-time CRNA for a beeper call role on a newly formed anesthesia team. The position is scheduled for 40 hours per week and is listed with a shift that varies. The posted compensation is 1,720 hours per year, with additional hours paid at $200 per hour. A sign-on bonus or student loan assistance of up to $100,000 is available based on commitment.
The role requires 24-hour beeper call with a 20-minute response expectation, and a designated call room is available when needed. The call ratio is listed as 1:4.
The CRNA would administer anesthesia or sedation for a range of surgical and non-surgical procedures. Responsibilities include creating and carrying out pre-anesthetic plans, writing orders before, during and after procedures, and monitoring patients, including hemodynamic monitoring, to adjust the anesthesia plan. The provider also orders and reviews diagnostic tests as needed, collaborates with the wider care team, and communicates with patients, families and other clinicians. The role calls for an ability to meet the developmental needs of all client populations.
Candidates need a bachelor's degree from an approved, accredited advanced practice nursing program. A master's degree, DNP or PhD is preferred. An unencumbered license to practice as a CRNA from the state board of nursing is required, or multi-state licensure privileges where the position calls for them. CRNA certification through the NBCRNA must be obtained and maintained, along with department-specific competencies. ACLS certification is preferred. Privileging documents and credentialing requirements take precedence over the job description where they differ.
