Full details

The schedule is 8-hour days, 07:00 to 15:00. An immediate opening exists for a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist in Jasper, Indiana, offered as a 26-week contract assignment. Candidates should have at least one year of experience, with one to two years in a CRNA or anesthesia role preferred.

The role centers on preparing and giving anesthesia, caring for patients before, during and after surgery, and taking part in diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. The CRNA also provides trauma stabilization and critical care, evaluates and treats acute and chronic pain, keeps up with new anesthesia techniques, equipment and drugs, and maintains thorough, accurate patient records.

Applicants need an active, unrestricted RN license in the state where they will work; if an additional license is required for the assignment, the staffing partner can assist. Licenses cannot be flagged or under investigation. The hiring employer reviews the candidate's profile against the listed qualifications.

Education expectations include a BSN and a master's or doctoral degree from an accredited nurse anesthesia program, with the doctorate becoming mandatory in 2025. Certification from the NBCRNA is required, along with continuing medical education to keep both that credential and state licensure current.

Desired strengths include hands-on anesthesia skill, sound judgment under pressure, clear communication with surgical teams, careful attention to detail, and the ability to adjust quickly as a patient's condition changes.

Compensation is described as highly competitive and transparent locum tenens pay. The package also includes travel and lodging coverage, malpractice coverage with risk management support, simplified timekeeping and document handling, in-house credentialing and licensing help, and access to leading hospitals and healthcare systems across varied care settings.
