Full details

This is a PRN position for a CRNA at Piedmont Eye Center, a premier ophthalmic surgery center in Atlanta, Georgia that focuses on advanced eye and vision procedures. The pay is listed at $175 per hour, and the role is described as having no call. The center handles a high volume of cataract, retina, and cornea cases in an efficient, patient-centered outpatient setting, and the posting notes a predictable 32-hour workweek, with shifts running Monday through Friday from 7 AM to 3 PM as needed.

The CRNA would deliver anesthesia care that is autonomous yet collaborative, working with the surgical team, medical staff, and facility leadership. Beyond routine clinical work, the CRNA is expected to help lead quality initiatives that support consistent, cost-effective anesthetic care across the center. Administrative expectations include helping develop standards for continuity of care and case management and staying current with AANA guidance and local, state, and federal rules.

Clinical duties include pre-anesthetic assessments and evaluations, with timely and accurate documentation, ordering consultations and diagnostic studies, selecting and giving pre-anesthetic medications and fluids, and obtaining informed consent. Depending on the case, the CRNA may manage airways, oversee emergence and recovery, discharge patients from the post-anesthesia area, provide follow-up for anesthesia-related complications, and respond to emergencies using airway management or cardiac life support. The role also calls for teamwork, peer communication, and attendance at meetings as needed.

Candidates must hold a degree from an approved nursing school and have graduated from a nurse anesthesia program accredited by the AANA Council on Accreditation, and they must have passed the AANA Council on Certification examination. At least two years of independent practice experience is required, along with current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certification.

Benefits are offered to employees working 30 hours or more per week, but this position is not benefits eligible. Professional liability coverage is provided by the staffing company, LifeLinc.
