Full details

This full-time CRNA opening is based at Southern Bone and Joint in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, where the practice offers an autonomous yet collaborative setting focused on high-quality, cost-conscious anesthesia care. The compensation package includes a $285,000 salary, nine weeks of paid time off, a full benefits package, a $2,000 yearly continuing education reimbursement, an annual retention and quality bonus, health insurance, a 401k, and relocation help. The employer covers professional liability coverage.

The surgery center attached to the group handles orthopedic and pain management procedures for the group's physicians. The facility has earned its sixth straight three-year accreditation from the AAAHC, a peer-reviewed survey process for ambulatory care.

Case volume is orthopedic only, at roughly 3,700 cases a year.

Clinically, the CRNA manages airways, oversees emergence and recovery, and discharges patients from post-anesthesia care with follow-up for side effects or complications. The role also includes performing pre-anesthetic assessments and documentation, ordering medications and fluids, obtaining informed consent, and responding to emergencies with airway care or advanced cardiac life support. Administrative work includes helping set continuity-of-care standards and staying current with AANA and local, state, and federal rules.

Candidates need graduation from an approved nursing program and a nurse anesthesia program accredited by the AANA's accreditation council, plus current AANA certification. At least two years of independent practice is required, along with ACLS, BLS, and PALS certification.

The employer, LifeLinc Anesthesia, describes itself as a major anesthesia management provider since 2003, focused on innovation and clinical quality. Its LifeLinc Academy offers education that supports autonomous practice and CME credit, and its LEAP leadership program trains providers for clinical leadership roles.
