This casual CRNA position at Canonsburg Hospital, part of Allegheny Health Network, centers on delivering anesthetic care to patients in the surgical setting. The anesthetist assesses each patient presenting for anesthesia and plans, evaluates, and carries out the anesthetic management, keeping accurate medical record documentation. Most of the role involves continuous monitoring of patients under anesthesia, responding promptly to abnormal responses, and consulting the attending physician on the care plan and on any issues beyond the CRNA's knowledge or scope of practice.

The position also includes contributing to performance and quality improvement efforts, following legal, ethical, and American Association of Nurse Anesthetists standards, and meeting safety and regulatory requirements. The CRNA serves as a clinical resource for the interdisciplinary team and may mentor new staff or students. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Candidates need a current Pennsylvania RN license or a current multistate license under the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact, plus certification as a Registered Nurse Anesthetist from the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists. Prior CRNA experience is preferred. Required credentials include American Heart Association CPR, PALS, and ACLS, along with Act 34 and Act 33 clearances, an Act 73 FBI fingerprint background clearance, and related employment screenings.
