Full details
The anesthesia department at a major Boston academic medical center, part of a larger health system, is recruiting Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists who care deeply about patients to join a highly rated group practice. Openings exist at the flagship academic hospital in Boston and at several community hospitals across Eastern Massachusetts, reflecting recent network growth. The organization describes a long record of excellent care, a varied mix of cases, and a workplace that values its clinical staff.
Recruitment covers both the academic and community groups. The employed provider group at the academic center holds an exclusive affiliation for patient care, research and teaching, and a separate affiliated group staffs several community hospitals and surgery centers in the region. Together the physician groups total roughly 1,900 providers, and the anesthesia practice includes about 136 physicians and 97 CRNAs.
The practice follows a collaborative anesthesia care team model that offers broad scope of practice. Cases span general surgery, trauma, orthopedics, sports medicine, gynecology, ENT, urology, bariatrics, thoracic, vascular, endoscopy, electrophysiology, obstetrics, and minimal healthy pediatrics, allowing providers to match their practice to the cases they prefer.
The base pay range is listed as $280,000 to $290,000. Final pay within that range depends on factors such as academic appointment, experience, specialty training, work location, anticipated productivity, FTE basis, and role expectations. The role may also qualify for performance-based incentives, including bonuses tied to productivity and quality.
Benefits for eligible employees include health, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, along with retirement plans that include employer contributions.
