A qualified CRNA with strong leadership abilities is sought for a full-time Chief CRNA role at AdventHealth Tampa, a 626-bed tertiary hospital in Tampa, Florida. Applicants should bring at least three to five years of CRNA experience, and prior leadership experience is preferred.

The position joins an established anesthesia group of 21 physicians and 52 advanced practice providers that has operated for more than 30 years. The group covers a broad range of anesthesia care for adults and children, including general, regional, cardiac, and obstetrical cases. The case mix excludes trauma and transplant.

Responsibilities for the Chief CRNA include scheduling, staff development, and help with recruiting, such as interviewing and attending recruitment events. The role also liaises with hospital leadership, serves as a clinical resource for the department and the hospital, and takes part in leadership development activities. The chief further assists the Chief Anesthesiologist with performance reviews and manages orientation and onboarding for new hires.

Compensation highlights include a newly increased pay package, a start date bonus tied to a three-year commitment, a chief stipend, an annual retention bonus, and a relocation bonus. Paid time off is generous, and an annual continuing medical education allowance is provided. Malpractice coverage, with tail coverage, is paid at 100 percent.

Scheduling is flexible, with several schedule options available across varied shift lengths. Call is minimal and performed from home by beeper with a short callback window, and it is shared evenly across the group. Overtime opportunities are available for those who want them.
