Full details
Corewell Health is recruiting full-time and part-time CRNAs for its anesthesia team at Corewell Health Big Rapids Hospital, a 49-bed acute care facility in Mecosta County. The base salary is listed at $321,360 per year, with a $100,000 starting bonus and relocation assistance of up to $12,000.
CRNAs in this role deliver advanced anesthesia care, including obstetric and gynecologic procedures. The baseline schedule runs from 7am to 3:30pm, Monday through Friday. Call coverage is set at 1:6 with weekend coverage followed by a post-call day off, and extra pay is available for additional call and added shift blocks.
Benefits include access to My Concierge, a personal-assistance service for employed physicians and advanced practice providers in West Michigan, along with a continuing education allowance of $2,500 per year that can roll over, up to a $5,000 annual maximum. A $5,000 recruitment bonus is offered for each full-time CRNA referral.
Candidates need a master's, DNP, or DNAP from an accredited nurse anesthesia program, a Michigan RN license, and at least three years of work as a CRNA with 4,000 clinical hours. Prior independent practice is required, along with documented experience and comfort in peripheral nerve blocks, neuraxial techniques, obstetric and gynecologic cases, and pediatric anesthesia; letters of recommendation confirming these skills are preferred.
The hospital offers inpatient medical, surgical, obstetric, and critical care units, a level IV trauma designation, and Total Joint Commission Comprehensive Stroke Center status. Big Rapids is home to Ferris State University and sits within reach of Lake Michigan and Grand Rapids, with a mix of small-town and city amenities.
