Full details
A $20,000 sign-on bonus is offered for a CRNA with obstetric experience. The nurse anesthetist gives intravenous, inhalation, and regional anesthesia to keep patients free of pain during obstetric deliveries and procedures, and may also provide anesthesia to patients across all A.S.A. classes. The role follows a care team model, but the CRNA must be able to work independently on spinals, epidurals, cesarean sections, and obstetric emergencies. The service handles 2,500 to 3,000 deliveries a year.
Scheduling is a mix of two 12-hour shifts or a single 24-hour shift, with most shifts falling on weekends.
Candidates need a current RN license and NBCRNA certification, plus a master's or doctoral degree from an accredited nurse anesthesia program. At least two years of obstetric anesthesia experience is required, along with strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills and the ability to collaborate well with anesthesiologists and other providers. Required credentials include clinical privileges, a Michigan RN license, state specialty certification, and ALS, BLS, and PALS certifications.
Benefits include a competitive salary, family-forming support such as paid parental leave, adoption assistance, donor assistance, and fertility coverage, and a 403(b) plan with a 3.5% salary match. Medical, dental, and vision coverage is available, along with HSA, FSA, and DCFSA tax-savings account options.
