Full details

Sanford Health, a large rural health system, is hiring a CRNA for an anesthesia position on a varied shift schedule of 8-hour shifts, totaling 40 scheduled hours per week. The position is not unionized. The practice is a large group of nearly 100 CRNAs and 23 anesthesiologists who together handle about 30,000 cases a year, and the campus is expanding.

The role offers a broad mix of surgical specialties, including orthopedics, general surgery, cardiothoracic, neurosurgery, ENT, GI, vascular, pediatrics, urology, and robotics. The CRNA administers anesthesia or sedation for both surgical and non-surgical procedures, develops and carries out a pre-anesthetic plan, writes orders before, during, and after procedures, and adjusts hemodynamic monitoring to match the anesthetic plan. The provider also orders and reviews diagnostic tests as needed, works alongside the wider care team, and communicates with patients, families, and other clinicians. Care must account for the growth and development needs of all patient populations.

Applicants need a bachelor's degree in nursing from an accredited advanced practice program, with a master's, DNP, or PhD preferred. A current, unencumbered CRNA license from the state board of nursing in each state of practice is required, or multi-state licensure privileges where the position calls for them. Certification from the NBCRNA must be obtained and maintained, along with department-specific competencies. ACLS certification is preferred.
