Full details
Somnia Anesthesia, a physician-owned group led by clinicians, is recruiting full-time, part-time, and per diem CRNAs to work within the Memphis, Tennessee, system of Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare. The group operates a CRNA and physician model with no supervising-physician arrangement described in the posting, and it highlights mentorship and professional development as core parts of its culture.
Pay and benefits listed include a $238,800 annual base salary, eight weeks of paid time off, a $10,400 seniority premium for providers with more than ten years of experience, a $16,667 commencement bonus, a $16,667 annual retention bonus, and a $3,000 education stipend. Medical coverage is offered at zero cost to the provider and family, along with dental, vision, life, disability, and malpractice coverage, a 401(k), flexible spending accounts, and up to $10,000 in relocation assistance.
Clinical work spans more than 40 anesthetizing locations across five facilities, which are about 30 minutes apart by car, including Methodist University Hospital, Methodist Le Bonheur Germantown, Methodist North, Methodist South, and Methodist Olive Branch in Mississippi. Cases cover general, cardiac, vascular, neurosurgical, orthopedic, ENT, GI, gynecologic, plastic, and obstetric surgery, plus non-OR anesthesia in areas such as the cath lab and endoscopy suites. CRNAs practice to their full scope, including regional anesthesia, arterial lines, and central lines.
Shifts can be scheduled as 8-, 10-, or 12-hour blocks, and the posting states that there is no mandatory call. Candidates need an active state license, DEA registration, state controlled-substance registration, and board certification, along with ACLS, PALS, and BLS credentials.
The posting describes Memphis favorably, noting Tennessee's lack of a state income tax, a comparatively low cost of living, the city's music, food, and sports scene, and Memphis International Airport roughly 15 minutes from downtown. It also notes that the health system is recognized by U.S. News & World Report and that an anesthesia residency program is planned, with subspecialty training already available in cardiac, obstetric, critical care, acute, and chronic pain. Somnia has operated since 1996 and offers a referral bonus of up to $5,000 for hires, subject to terms and conditions.
