The CRNA will deliver anesthesia care using safe, high-quality techniques during procedures, including inpatient cases, and will make clinical decisions to build patient care plans that account for comorbidities, age, and developmental considerations. The role involves working closely with the medical team, upholding patient safety, supporting quality improvement and infection prevention, keeping accurate and confidential records, and helping contain costs by using resources wisely. There is also an opportunity to precept and mentor student nurse anesthetists.

Current CPR, ACLS, and BLS certifications are also required, along with demonstrated clinical competence within granted privileges and strong verbal and written communication skills. The clinician practices under the authority of the North Carolina Medical Board or the North Carolina Board of Nursing, with departmental credentialing from the institution.

The package includes recruitment incentives of up to $140,000 for eligible candidates, a transition payment of up to $7,500 paid within the first 30 days, and up to $2,500 for continuing medical education along with five additional PTO days per year. Paid time off starts at 30 days per year and can be used for vacation, illness, holidays, and personal matters. Parental benefits include six weeks of paid maternity leave for the birthing mother and four weeks of paid parental leave.

Retirement benefits include a dollar-for-dollar match up to 3% of pay each pay period and a 3% automatic non-elective contribution made annually; employees must work 12 consecutive months and be employed on the last day of the year to qualify. Additional benefits include flexible scheduling options, medical, dental, vision, life, and disability coverage, flexible spending accounts, and an educational assistance program. Eligibility for some programs depends on FTE or status.
