Full details

A full-time CRNA position is available at UNC Rex in Raleigh, North Carolina, with a newly announced compensation package. The hospital is privately run on a not-for-profit basis and is tied to the UNC Health Care System. It operates 660 beds and includes a heart center, a birth center, a cancer center, a convalescent care center, an adult care center, and a wellness center.

The main campus has roughly 40 sites where anesthesia is delivered, among them 24 main operating rooms, 6 procedure rooms, and 3 obstetric suites, plus additional locations outside the main departments such as electrophysiology, TAVR, and hybrid MRI. The anesthesia group includes about 30 anesthesiologists and more than 80 CRNAs and is affiliated with the UNC Greensboro nurse anesthesia school. Clinicians work in a care team model within a collegial environment, covering 25 subspecialties including general, orthopedic, neuro, cardiac, thoracic, vascular, bariatric, endoscopy, obstetric, and ophthalmic cases, along with limited pediatrics.

Raleigh sits in the center of North Carolina within the Triangle region, near Cary, Durham, and Chapel Hill. An international airport with nonstop service to London and Paris is about ten minutes away, and the area offers shopping, dining, entertainment, and breweries, with the coast roughly two hours off and the mountains about three hours away.

Compensation is listed as a salary of $210K to $260K with a $75K sign-on incentive. Benefits include medical, life, vision, dental, disability, and AD&D coverage, generous paid time off, flexible spending and health savings accounts, fully paid malpractice coverage, and available loan repayment and training assistance.

Assigned cases include cardiac, pediatric, obstetric, general, plastics, urology, and vascular procedures. Responsibilities cover delivering full anesthesia care across surgeries, completing pre-anesthesia evaluations and informed consent, developing anesthetic plans with patients, managing induction, maintenance, and emergence, monitoring physiological status and intervening as needed, and supporting departmental coordination and clinical leadership.

Candidates need a current registration as a registered professional nurse, graduation from an accredited nurse anesthesia program, and certification or recertification by the AANA Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists.
