Full details
This full-time CRNA opening is based at Raleigh Orthopedic Surgery Center in historic Raleigh, North Carolina, and the employer recently announced higher pay and a sign-on incentive. The center sits on the ground floor of a four-story medical office building on Edwards Mill Road. It is described as the largest and most modern outpatient orthopedic facility in Eastern North Carolina, is accredited by AAAHC, and is home to the region's oldest orthopedic practice, which also serves local professional and collegiate athletic teams.
The anesthesia group has seven operating rooms to staff, with a strong emphasis on sports medicine and total joint procedures, along with hand, wrist, foot, and ankle work. Regional anesthesia is common, and the team is described as fast-paced and efficient, with high marks for patient and surgeon satisfaction. Assignments cover sports medicine, total hips, knees, and shoulders, elbow, foot, ankle, hand and wrist cases, small back procedures, and occasional pediatric surgery.
Schedules are flexible and run Monday through Friday with no holidays, nights, or weekends. Listed compensation is a base salary of $240K along with a $75K sign-on incentive. The benefits package includes medical, life, vision, dental, and disability coverage, plus AD&D insurance, generous paid time off, flexible spending and health savings accounts, fully paid malpractice coverage, and available loan repayment.
Core duties include delivering full anesthesia care across a range of surgeries, completing pre-anesthesia assessments and securing informed consent, and building and reviewing anesthetic plans with patients. The CRNA manages induction, maintenance, and recovery from anesthesia, monitors physiological status, and makes interventions as needed, while also supporting departmental coordination and clinical leadership.
Candidates need a current registered professional nursing license, graduation from an accredited nurse anesthesia program, and current certification or recertification through the AANA Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists.
