Full details

This per diem CRNA role is based at Raleigh Orthopedic Surgery Center in Raleigh, North Carolina, on the ground floor of a four-story orthopedic clinic building on Edwards Mill Road. The center is described as the largest and most modern outpatient orthopedic facility in Eastern North Carolina, is accredited by AAAHC, and is the home of the area's oldest orthopedic practice. It has seven operating rooms with a strong emphasis on sports medicine and total joints, along with hand, wrist, and foot and ankle work.

The anesthesia group is described as experienced and efficient, working at a fast pace, and regional anesthesia is used often. Assigned cases include sports medicine, total joints such as hips, knees, and shoulders, foot and ankle, hand, wrist, and elbow, small back procedures, and occasionally pediatric patients. Duties include pre-anesthesia assessment, confirming patient consent, reviewing anesthetic options and risks with patients, managing induction, maintenance, and emergence, monitoring physiological status, and carrying out clinical interventions as needed.

Pay is listed at $175 per hour, and malpractice insurance coverage is fully paid. The schedule is flexible and runs Monday through Friday, with no holidays, nights, or weekends.

Candidates need a current registered professional nurse license, graduation from an accredited nurse anesthesia program, and current certification or recertification through the AANA's Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists.
