Full details

A CRNA position is open with a growing anesthesia practice in Memphis, Tennessee, serving the Baptist Memorial Health Care campus. The campus is built around the flagship Baptist Memorial Hospital – Memphis, a high-volume medical center in Tennessee, and also includes a women's hospital, a children's hospital, a women's health center, a restorative care hospital, a heart institute, and several physician office buildings on an 80-acre site.

The practice provides anesthesia to three acute care hospitals in the same area along with several ambulatory surgery centers. It employs more than 25 physicians, including two fellowship-trained pediatric anesthesiologists, and over 70 CRNAs who work together in a care team model that emphasizes every member having a voice. Pediatric resources include a twelve-bed inpatient unit, eight operating suites with capacity for two more, a forty-bed NICU with in-house neonatology coverage around the clock, and ten exam rooms.

The assigned cases span general, pediatric, ENT, orthopedic, plastic, OB/GYN, transplant, and complex cardiac surgery. Responsibilities include providing comprehensive anesthesia care across procedures, performing pre-anesthesia evaluations and obtaining informed consent, developing and discussing anesthetic plans with patients, managing induction, maintenance, and emergence, monitoring physiological status and intervening as needed, and supporting departmental coordination and clinical leadership.

Candidates need a current license as a registered professional nurse, graduation from an accredited nurse anesthesia education program, and certification or recertification by the AANA Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists. The compensation is listed as an hourly rate of $150 per hour on a 1099 basis.
