This is a PRN position for a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist at St. Francis Hospital's Park and Bartlett locations in Memphis and Bartlett, Tennessee, offered through LifeLinc Anesthesia. The role is advertised with a $160 hourly rate and is described as having no call schedule. It is preferable that the CRNA work at both the Memphis and Bartlett sites.

The Memphis campus is a 479-bed facility that has served the East Memphis community since 1974, and the Bartlett hospital, which opened in 2004, was the first full-service health care facility in Bartlett. At the Park Avenue operating rooms in Memphis, the CRNA would cover all specialties. At the Bartlett location, the caseload is limited to neuro-spine procedures, with no cardiac, thoracic, vascular, or obstetric cases.

Shifts run Monday through Friday and are 8, 10, or 12 hours long, scheduled as needed. Benefits apply only to employees working 30 or more hours per week, and this position is not benefit eligible.

The CRNA is expected to act as a collaborative team member, help develop standards for continuity of care and case management, and stay current with American Association of Nurse Anesthetists guidance and local, state, and federal rules. Clinical work includes pre-anesthetic assessments and documentation, ordering pre-anesthetic medications and fluids, and obtaining informed consent. Day-to-day duties may include airway management, overseeing emergence and recovery, discharging patients from post-anesthesia care, follow-up for anesthesia complications, and emergency response using advanced or basic cardiac life support.

Candidates need graduation from an approved nursing school and from a nurse anesthesia program accredited by the AANA Council on Accreditation, plus AANA Council on Certification credentials. At least two years of independent practice experience and ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications are also required.
