The schedule is four 10-hour shifts a week. Aiken Regional Medical Center in Aiken, South Carolina is seeking a full-time Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist to become part of its established in-house anesthesia service. The position carries practice autonomy, giving the provider room to take on a broad spectrum of surgical cases while contributing to a team-based care structure.

The anesthesia group spans 11 sites of service. The CRNA would oversee procedures in nine operating rooms at the main campus along with two outside locations. The care model pairs CRNAs with three anesthesiologists, and the staff of 16 CRNAs cares for both adult and pediatric patients. Annual volume averages about 5,200 cases, counting operating room work only.

The role includes paid after-hours call handled by beeper. Documentation is completed in the Cerner electronic medical record system.

Compensation includes a competitive base salary, and sign-on and relocation assistance may be available. Candidates need to have completed an accredited nurse anesthesia program and hold an active South Carolina license or be eligible for one.

Its medical staff includes more than 120 physicians across many specialties, over 85 percent of them board certified, many in several fields. The facility is owned and operated by Universal Health Services, a large hospital management company.
