This per diem CRNA position is based at Day Kimball Hospital, located near the Quinebaug River in northeastern Connecticut, close to the Rhode Island and New Hampshire borders. The hospital is part of a larger health system that includes a medical group, four healthcare centers, home care and hospice services, and roughly 1,100 staff members.

Case assignments cover orthopedics, OB/GYN, urology, ENT, podiatry, spine fusions, cataract surgery, endoscopy, colonoscopy, TEE, cardioversions, pacemaker procedures, and general surgery. Pediatric work consists of ENT cases such as myringotomy with tube placement, adenoidectomies, and tonsillectomies.

The anesthetist delivers full anesthesia care across these procedures, performs pre-anesthesia assessments, and secures informed consent. The role also involves building and reviewing anesthetic plans with patients, managing induction, maintenance, and emergence, and monitoring and treating physiological changes as they arise. The position further supports departmental coordination and clinical leadership.

Candidates need a current registered professional nursing license, graduation from an accredited nurse anesthesia program, and certification or recertification through the AANA Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists. The posted pay is $180 per hour.
