Full details

UPMC in Central PA is recruiting an experienced CRNA for a hospital-employed position at its Leader Ambulatory Surgery Center in York, Pennsylvania, where the role will help grow surgical services across central Pennsylvania. The surgical mix includes ENT, plastic and reconstructive, orthopedic, GI, and same-day procedures, and the team also handles general surgery, urology, and pediatric patients six months and older. The position does not cover trauma or obstetrics, and the schedule is day surgery only with no nights, weekends, or call.

Pay and benefits include a competitive salary, a yearly CME allowance, protected time for CME, paid time off, two retirement plans, and medical, dental, and vision coverage. A $100,000 sign-on bonus is also offered. Providers can use tuition discounts at the University of Pittsburgh, and a three-rung clinical career ladder (staff, senior, expert) provides a merit-based route for advancement.

Onboarding includes structured training and ongoing support, and the team emphasizes peer collaboration, an open-door leadership approach, and shared learning that welcomes both seasoned clinicians and new graduates. The practice uses the Fabias GS and EPIC systems.

Candidates must be graduates of an accredited CRNA program, be eligible for Pennsylvania licensure, and bring experience, as this is not a new-graduate role. Strong commitment to high-quality, compassionate care and the ability to work collaboratively are expected.

The CRNA provides anesthesia for all patient types in coordination with the supervising or medically directing physician, following Department of Anesthesiology standards and hospital policy. Responsibilities span pre-anesthetic evaluation, induction, maintenance and emergence, post-anesthesia care, and peri-anesthesia support, along with monitoring patients' reactions to sedatives, analgesics, and anesthetic agents and alerting the anesthesiologist to any adverse condition. The role also includes accountability for controlled substances, verifying consent and surgical sites with OR staff and the surgeon, teaching and evaluating newly hired CRNAs and student registered nurse anesthetists, and taking part in quality improvement through case documentation, incident reporting, and education.

York, Pennsylvania offers a diverse economy built on manufacturing, sciences, agriculture, and technology, along with a mix of rural and suburban living, sports, arts, and cultural events.
