Full details
UPMC in Central Pennsylvania is seeking an experienced CRNA for a part-time, 24-hour hospital-employed role at its Leader Ambulatory Surgery Center in York. The position puts the anesthetist at the center of efforts to grow surgical services across central Pennsylvania while delivering high-quality, compassionate patient care.
Compensation includes a competitive salary, an annual continuing-education allowance, protected time for CME training, paid time off, two retirement plans, and medical, dental and vision coverage. The organization describes a collegial, cohesive team culture and a learning environment where seasoned clinicians and new graduates both grow by sharing knowledge. It also states a commitment to a healthy work-life balance.
Cases performed at the center include ENT, plastic and reconstructive, orthopedic, gastrointestinal, and same-day procedures. Providers receive structured onboarding, training, and ongoing support, along with peer and leadership backing and a team-based approach to care. Employees may also access tuition reductions at the University of Pittsburgh, and a merit-based clinical career ladder with staff, senior, and expert levels is available.
The schedule is limited to day surgery, with no nights, weekends, or on-call duties. The team also works across general surgery, orthopedics, urology, ENT, GI, and pediatric patients six months and older, but the role excludes trauma and obstetric anesthesia. Clinicians use the Fabias GS system and EPIC.
Candidates must be graduates of an accredited CRNA program and have prior experience, as this is not a position for new graduates. Strong teamwork skills and a commitment to compassionate care are expected, and applicants must be eligible for Pennsylvania licensure.
